Switch summer to winter time
On Sunday 28 October, the time will switch to winter time again: 3 am will be 2 am. Employees working in shifts on that night will have to work 1 hour longer. What salary do you have to pay them?
A good tip for employers is to organize the teams such a way that the team that has to work 9 hours during the switch to winter time, also is the same team that has to work 7 hours during the switch to summer time. The payment of the salaries for 8 hours when switching to summer time is then considered as an early payment for the 9th hour that will be performed when the switch to winter time takes place.
If it is not possible to employ the same shifts, you must pay the 9 hours when switching to winter time.
